About The Artist

Why "Pamoja"?

"Community Taught"

"Community Taught"

Pamoja means "togetherness" in Swahili. I spent a little over a year living in Kenya when I was growing up and the culture and experience made a lasting impression on me. There I adopted the mantra Pamoja Tutashinda, meaning, "together we will win." I want my brand to echo the collaborative and celebratory vibe that I witnessed in East Africa from the rural villages to the big cities.

Love Yours

I've learned much from client's stories since Pamoja Keepsakes began. I firmly believe that we are all better off when we work together. Each of us has a one-of-one perspective that is valuable. The more we trust, prioritize, and hone our own talents, the better solutions we can offer to one another.

I try not to push myself too hard when it comes to productivity. An important lesson I’ve learned is that: rest is also productive. When I take breaks and listen to my body, I actually curate a more sustainable energy to accomplish my goals.
