I met Erinn Bell through Timeleft, an app that aims to build community by arranging dinners with strangers in cities all across the world. I was in Atlanta, but Erinn was in the midst of traveling and was not even from my city, but our alignment and conversation really stuck with both of us. The Bell Movement is a brand that Erinn founded and manages which shows people how to travel with intentionality while also demonstrating that these experiences can be accessible and affordable.
You see, Erinn had taken meticulous notes about her travel experiences and, even at our Timeleft dinner, as she spoke with our group about trips she'd taken (30+, and counting) she would share links from her notes app with people she would meet to give advice about the best places and experiences.
Erinn and I caught up months later and after initially talking about some other design projects, I recommended that she create some travel guides for her brand, based on all the data and experience she has accumulated so far. These various themed guides could serve several functions for her business model: lead generation for her site, content for social media, a new product to monetize, and a way to find out what countries travelers are most curious about. Guides as both new ways to connect to her audience and sales data which helps to inform her plans for The Bell Movement's future destination wellness retreats.

With an abundance of content ready to go, we had to first discuss a starting point by picking 3 countries to create guides and a clear timeline. I created a templated booklet outline for content that we followed for each country guide in order to create a cohesive experience across the series. This planning process was iterative in that we also created an Essentials Travel Guide. This guide would offer: general content for best travel practices, setting your mindset for a new environment, safety tips, best items to pack, and more. This functions as a free lead generation tool that works as the perfect companion for any of the paid guides

The execution of this process was highly collaborative. Once the outline was in place we had meetings to review content layouts and coordinate photos that matched particular destinations and experiences. It was a fun journey for me to better understand events that happened on her trips and to hear the why behind The Bell Movement's mission to empower travelers in prioritizing traveling with a deeper purpose.

Lastly, we discussed her marketing strategies across various channels which currently include Tik Tok, YouTube, Instagram, a newsletter, and Substack. It was important for me to understand how we can pivot these new digital assets across platforms to raise maximum visibility and impact.
The final deliverables for 2025 were a country guide for Spain, Bali, Iceland, and the Essentials Travel Guide with all of Erinn's best curated travel advice. The layouts are highly visual, incorporating images from trips that she has taken leaving no need for stock photos. I also illustrated a portrait of Erinn as well as some unique icons for her brand. All in all, these products were recently launched and I'm excited to watch this collection grow as we continue to add more countries to the catalog of content.
You can visit The Bell Movement's site to get your free guide, purchase a country guide, sign up for the newsletter, and/or follow her on socials.
